Alkali Swellable Acrylic Thickener RG-JZ600
Product Description:
RG-JZ600 is a cross-linking polymer emulsion thickener containing an acidic group. When it is diluted with water and neutralized with alkali, its latex particles would rapidly expand; under this condition, the emulsion will become clarified and very viscous.
RG-JZ600 can effectively improve the low shear viscosity, so the coating system has high pseudo-plastic feature. The coating that uses RG-JZ600 as the main thickener preparation has higher yielding value and gel structure, which would be shown after shear stress disappears. Therefore, RG-JZ600 is applicable to prepare the coating with moderate three-dimensional pattern effect.
Compared with high molecular weight cellulose thickener, RG-JZ600 can reduce splashing of the roller coating. Because of its non-cellulose, high anti-microbial and enzyme invasion, the coating viscosity can maintain its stability for a long time.

Performance:

Product Application:
RG-JZ600 is recommended for sandstone effect paint, or as a collaborative thickener to control its flowing. RG-JZ600 can also be used for exterior wall coating. However, because it contains anionic structure, it is recommended formulators should pay attention to minimizing the possibility of blistering
Use Method:
1. To use ammonia to adjust PH value of the coating to 8.0-9.0.
2.To dilute RG-JZ600 in water in the ratio of 1:1.
3. Slowly add diluted RG-JZ600 under stirring at a low speed.
4.While stirring, to measure changes of the coating viscosity; stop adding thickener when the required viscosity is achieved.
Specific skills should be adjusted according to various experiments.
Packaging and Storage:
The product should be stored in airtight containers, anti-exposure and anti-frozen. It is suggested the normal storage temperature be 10 ° C ~ 35 ° C, with shelf life of six months. Slightly layer will appear after long-term storage, then to stir it and application effect would not be affected.
Packaging it with 50kg or 130kg plastic barrel.
The product is non-dangerous, so it is safe in the water, land and air transport.
